Thanks for a great meeting

I would like to commend all those that took part in a fantastic meeting today. The building inspector and their image maybe the most important item that is on our plate as an association. The back and forth conversation was great and numerous ideas were placed on the floor for discussion. I would like to especially thank those members of the construction trades that came out to help us with this project especially Advanced Roofing and Douglass Orr Plumbing. Some of the great ideas that were put forth are:

• Good P.R. is needed.
• Get Fire and Police to back us up.
• Have documentary produced and shown on T.V.
• Need stronger organization, currently fragmented statewide.
• Strong Lobbyist.
• Education of the public
• Pay and benefits
• Unlicensed contractors/Owner contractor
• Ad Hoc Committee to look at individual cases for discipline.
• General appearances / professionalism
• Marketing / Image
• Don't use police talk use real people talk.

Other great ideas that came out were tag lines like

"When we do our job nothing happens"

and

"Think and act like a professional"
